Welcome to 2017

Kia Ora, my name is Philip and I’m here to welcome you to my 2017 blog.  My goal for this year is to challenge and push myself to the limit to get a good education and high grades.

In my class we’re based on the key competencies and how to be a successful learner.  There are five key competencies and they are, Participating and contributing, Thinking, Managing self, Using language, texts and symbols and Relating to others.

We also have a class kawa (A.K.A class treaty) that is based on  S.T.A.R.S and they are, Supporting each other, Tell the truth, Achieving our goals Respect and Self responsibility.

My Book Review

Title:	Zac Power: Shock Music
Author:	H.I. Larry
Illustrator:	Cal Bennet
Storyline [summary]	Zac is called by the most famous rock band ever and they asked him if he could play the guitar with them and he said yes.  Was he serious or was this a set up?.
What I liked best	I liked the part when Zac figured out the master minds true identity even though he was disguised as a rock band director.  But little did Zac know Dr drastics plan was to take over the world by hypnotizing every person in the world with his new “hipno song”.
What I didn’t like	The part when Zac nearly died by Dr Drastics wrath. But Zac always finds a way out of his trap
Favourite character	My favourite character is Zac power the main character.  He’s my favourite character because he will never fail a mission, Even in tough times when you think he’ll fail he’ll turn the table and come out as the winner.
Would I recommend this book?	I would recommend this book to those who are interested in action books/movies.
